NPCs say taunts while they’re actively in combat with an enemy. Don’t be too concerned, not all of it a follower NPC would commonly say. Right-click inside the Topics pane and select New Topic. So once you’ve figured that out, open the quest. Otherwise, you can put this stuff in the same quest from part 3. If I sold you on the idea of multiple quests, now might be a good time to create a “copy” for this combat dialogue. In part 4, we talked about using multiple “copies” of this quest to keep things tidy.
I’ve got good news – we’re going back to work on the quest you created in part 3 where you taught your follower to say hello. Remember how, in previous parts of the guide, we’ve been messing with quests that already existed in the Creation Kit? Fiddly, unpleasant stuff. In this part we teach your follower how to vocalise in combat. Now it’s time to start adding the extra stuff.
In part 6 of the guide we restored all follower functionality to your follower.
